Saturday, November 24, 2018, the Senate Hall of the Romanian-American University (RAU) hosted the celebration of the 80th birthday of Professor Moisă Altăr, the reputed entrepreneurial mathematical economist, a promoter of a real culture of excellence. Romanian-American University (RAU), the Romanian-American Foundation for Promoting Education and Culture (FRAPEC), and the Doctoral School of Finance and Banking, DOFIN, The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (ASE), organized a great event to honor Professor Moisă Altăr who is recognized for extraordinary achievements and contributions.
Current and former colleagues, former students, and friends gathered to honor Professor Moisă Altăr, expressing their joy of attending this special event, and showing true gratitude for the things they are grateful for. It was an emotion-filled day for all the participants to this special event.
It is also worth mentioning that the Romanian Distribution Committee awarded the Diploma of Honorary Member to Professor Moisă Altăr (http://www.crd-aida.ro/2018/11/professor-moisa-altar-honorary-member-of-the-romanian-distribution-committee/ ). It is well-known that reference was made to the Romanian Distribution Committee in the study “Marketing issues in transitional economies”, Springer, 1st edition, August 31, 1999, Rajeev Batra, William Davidson Institute (at the University of Michigan, USA), Business & Economics, page 167, for acknowledging the specific Romanian undertakings of adapting to European and world economic structures.
