Five years ago the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE Bucharest) celebrated the centennial (within this historical framework hosted by the Aula Magna of ASE Bucharest, the Association of Faculties of Economics in Romania, AFER, launched the Volume with a great theme: “Pages from the Romanian Economic Higher Education History, 1843-2013”). This year ASE Bucharest celebrates 105 years of academic performance (see below a Message from the Rector, Professor Nicolae Istudor, Ph.D.).
Within the context of this remarkable celebration ASE Bucharest organized the “1st International Conference on Economics and Social Sciences” (“icESS”) – “Challenges and Trends in Economic and Social Sciences Research”, the Track 7 of icESS offering attendees the opportunity to focus on the hot segment of “Sustainable Marketing” and examine developments, applications, and concerns in the current and next era of connectivity. The lively discussions within the true challenging topics allowed participants to challenge issues, drawing together conclusions and summarizing key points. Let us mention some qualitative contributions of the participants in this debate: Mihaela Constantinescu, Ionel Dumitru, Camelia Kailani, Mihai Cristian Orzan and Theodor Purcarea.
