The reputed European Retail Academy (ERA) hosted an inspired and inspiring Webinar – Sustainability on 18-19 March 2022. Prof. Dr. Bernd Hallier, President of the European Retail Academy, made significant remarks on opening this ERA Webinar and welcoming participants, by underlining the synergy generated by the convergence of higher education, scientific research and innovation systems at the crossroads of research, education and innovation. Prof. Dr. Bernd Hallier highlighted the ERA Webinar’s purposes, objectives, and intended outcomes. Then he invited the Guest Speaker, the distinguished Prof. Dr. Raekwon Chung, a Nobel laureate, author of the “Green Growth” concept (a new paradigm as a regional strategy of sustainable development for Asia and the Pacific), former Ambassador for Climate Change of the Republic of Korea, who gave a challenging speech on “The importance of Climate Change: Challenge for interdisciplinary Studies, Q & A”, adding value by sharing insider knowledge, and offering a fresh perspective.
Dr. Violena Hubenova Nencheva, ERA-Webinar Manager, introduced the panelists (please see below some suggestive images on the content of the valuable presentations). The Romanian-American University was represented by Ioan-Matei Purcarea, Research Economist, Drd. at the National Research Economic Institute, Romanian Academy. ERA President Prof. Dr. Bernd Hallier kept the listeners engaged, ensuring a continuous rigorous debate.
Finally, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Hans Rüdiger Kaufmann (University of Applied Management Studies Mannheim, Germany, Full Professor Marketing University of Nicosia, Vice President EuroMed Research Business Institute, Ex- President Circle International, Ex- Vice President AMA – American Marketing Association SIG Global Marketing) and Mitsunori Hirogaki, Assoc. Professor of Marketing Strategy & International Marketing, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, took place a Round Table regarding the main learnings from the ERA Webinar – Sustainability, a true great resource of information, of gaining knowledge and upskilling. Discussions were lively, allowing the clarification of questions and concerns.
