This year’s Europe’s largest higher education conference took place from 13-16 September 2016, gathered 5200 participants from over 80 countries, and offered interesting sessions, networking events and knowledge-sharing opportunities, under the challenging theme of “Imagine…” as a tribute to the legendary John Lennon.
It is well-known that as a non-profit, member-led organisation serving individuals actively involved in international higher education, EAIE represents a true forum for professional development, information dissemination and networking, imagining… “a higher education that transcends national borders, nurtures global citizens and moves us closer to freedom, equality and peace around the world…” That is why this year’s conference addressed key issues, including the refugee crisis and Brexit.

Dean of the Management-Marketing School of the Romanian-American University (RAU), Costel Negricea (member of the RAU delegation at the EAIE conference), let us also know that another significant event took place in Liverpool parallel to the EAIE Conference – the 13th QS World University Rankings Event (sponsored by IELTS), on September 13th, at the University of Liverpool, and which gathered over 180 delegates.
